We have a long history of community and mission involvement. Our physicians and staff eagerly participate in many programs, sharing our time and talents.
World Pediatric Project
Together, they have provided over 400 surgical evaluations and operated on more than 60 children in the Eastern Caribbean through their annual missions to St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
All of these services are provided free of charge to these young patients and their families, giving them life-changing care that is otherwise not available to them in their home country.
Tuckahoe Orthopaedics and World Pediatric Project have also partnered to bring patients in need of more complex surgical care to Richmond for treatment.
Uninsured Assistance
We work closely with Richmond Academy of Medicine’s Access Now program to provide orthopedic care for those without any insurance coverage who meet income guidelines. Access Now is a community partnership which strives to improve the health of thousands of uninsured people throughout the Richmond area by providing access to specialty care.
We also offer free MRI services to uninsured patients meeting income guidelines. We work closely with the free clinics in the area to promote this program. To find out if you qualify for free MRI services, please contact 804.285.2300.
Special Olympics Virginia
Every year on the second weekend in June, the Special Olympics holds their Summer Games. For this event, 1300 athletes from across Virginia compete in swimming, powerlifting, softball, track and field, bowling, and tennis. Tuckahoe Orthopaedics is happy to support the Special Olympics for this wonderful event. Our physicians are there to provide medical coverage during the Summer Games.

American Diabetes Association
The American Diabetes Association is dedicated to preventing and curing diabetes and improving the lives of all people affected by diabetes. Many of our employees participate in their annual event.
